Rules of Cybersecurity Hackathon

Hackathon rules:
  • Each team must include at least one junior (ages 10–22). There could be all four members as junior. There could be maximum three seniors (ages between 23-35).
  • Teams can have all four members as juniors.
  • A maximum of three seniors (ages 23–35) is allowed per team.
  • A member can only join one team.
  • Team members can't be changed after the closing date.
  • Sharing of flag(s) is prohibited and can result in disqualification of all involved teams from competition.
  • Any attack against the site or hosted servers will be monitored, and offending team(s) will be immediately banned from participating in the competition.
  • Organizers have the authority to disqualify team(s) for any misconduct/unethical behaviour.
  • All types of electronic communication and use of mobile phones are prohibited.
  • Organizers may verify activity logs/steps and/or participants/teams during the competition.
  • Dynamic scoring can be assigned to CTFs.
  • There could be limited time assigned to selected CTFs.
  • Participants need to bring their own laptops with good battery backup; LAN ports should be in working condition (for physical rounds).
International Competition Rules:
  • A team or any team member from Hackathon finalists is allowed to participate in only two International competitions.
  • Within a fiscal year, a team can participate in only one International competition.
